The meetings of the Fourth International Investment Forum for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency began in its fourth session at the Dead Sea with Arab and international participation, in the presence of Her Highness Princess Sanaa Asem, Chairwoman of the Higher Steering Committee.

The Secretary-General of the Arab Renewable Energy Authority, Eng. Mohammed Al-Taani, expected that the achievements and fruits of green energy in the Arab world would reach about 500 billion by the year 2030, which would contribute to providing job opportunities for future generations. He expressed his thanks to the official sponsor of the forum, Eid Dahdal and Partners Company, and Al-Own Advanced Contracting Company, the golden sponsor, as well as Compasses Company.

In his speech, the President of the Jordanian Renewable Energy Association, Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Hunaiti, stated that renewable energy is considered one of the most important alternative sources available, and the association has sought since its establishment to spread awareness of the shift to the use of alternative energy to meet the increasing demand for energy among all private and public institutions in society.

The Green Party member in the German Parliament, Hans-Joseph Fell, stressed the importance of encouraging work on innovating methods and ideas in alternative energy, and that the uses of energy in Germany have achieved positives in terms of energy costs and cleanliness, expressing his hope that we will transfer the German experience to Jordan for its great benefits.

The head of the Irbid Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Al-Shuha, pointed out the pioneering role played by Jordan in the field of energy, as it was ranked by the International Renewable Energy Network in the fourth place globally in the field of investment in renewable energy.

In his speech, Eid Dahdal, General Manager of Romo International Company, expressed the company’s aspiration to benefit from the forum’s expertise in entering the world of alternative energy and working to participate in the production of home appliances that we are working to convert to the alternative and clean energy system, stressing that Jordanian industries have reached an advanced stage in global industries.

On the sidelines of the forum, Her Highness inaugurated an exhibition of national and international companies working in the field of renewable energy and Jordanian projects for a number of students from the Ministry of Education schools.
